An Afghan immigrant accused of alleged plotting a bomb attack on New York City is expected to plead guilty on Monday, a court official said.
The suspect, Najibullah Zazi, was indicted in September by a federal grand jury in Brooklyn on a charge of conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction by plotting to explode bombs in the United States. Zazi, who is being held without bail, had previously pleaded not guilty.
At least four other suspects have been charged in connection with the case: Zazi's father, a New York City imam, and two of his high school classmates from the New York City borough of Queens.
