As usual, PM Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will spend his break in İstanbul and is expected to perform the Eid al-Adha prayer and sacrifice an animal.
Opposition leaders have opted to stay in Ankara. Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Deniz Baykal will move on to Antalya after performance of the Eid prayer in Ankara in the morning. Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli will spend the holiday in Ankara, as will Democratic Left Party (DSP) head Zeki Sezer.
During the second and third days of the four-day break, party representatives will pay visits to each other. Party leaders will reportedly not participate in the delegations that will undertake the visits.
