Women whose remains found in Vancouver home in 1989 identified
The Missing Women's Joint Task Force says the remains were those of Jean O'Dare. The remains were found in a crawl space on April 22, 1989.

Foul play was suspected and Vancouver police investigated but the remains couldn't be identified at the time.

The task force says the B.C. Coroner's Service identified the remains using new DNA technology.

The technology allows the lab to extract more refined DNA information from very small samples.
