The World Bank released a statement in which it said that it was ready to go on working with the Istanbul Municipality and the Turkish government to eliminate disaster risk and to strengthen preparations for disasters.
In its statement, the bank expressed deep sorrow over the recent flood that hit Istanbul.
The bank said it was ready to cooperate with the Istanbul Municipality and Turkish government to protect human life, infrastructure and properties.
Twenty-six people died in the floods, triggered by torrential rains, in Istanbul on Wednesday.
