Zimbabwe's Tsvangirai to meet Mugabe, S. Africa president
Zimbabwe opposition MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai said he remained commited to a power-sharing government in the country.
Zimbabwe opposition MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai said on Thursday he remained commited to a power-sharing government in the country.
Tsvangirai told a news conference in Johannesburg that detained opposition activists had to be freed for the power-sharing deal to be implemented. He said President Robert Mugabe should meet with him to resolve outstanding issues.
Tsvangirai also said he will meet with President Robert Mugabe and South African President Kgalema Motlanthe this week to discuss a stalled power-sharing deal.
Zimbabwe's political rivals have been at odds over the implementation of a power-sharing agreement signed in September last year.
