A book fair in Kosovo's capital city of Pristina has put on show books that have been translated into Albanian with a great amount of interest shown by students.

Kosovo Publishers Association have impressed many with a book fair event in Pristina. The fair brings together the Balkan literature in Kosovo and also hosted the works of Turkish writers

The event held at the Youth Palace was shown great interest by attendees, especially from college students, which also attracted more than 200 publishers to the fair.

Exhibition coordinator Besian Zeneli used the following statements about the event: "This year we have far more interested people in the fair, and we are happy to be here in Pristina. Hundreds of new books came have been on display and we have received alot of  interest from the university students''.

He continued by saying that, ''In our fair, the students can easily find their books in which they are preparing for university. Our main goal is to help those young people with the literature and to encourage our children to read books even more. When we read we can create a new world.''

This year, there has been a sharp rise in sales of books by different authors that have been translated into Albanian as well as many requests for the  Turkish author Necip Fazil Kisakurek.

The fair will remain open throughout the week and it is expected to bring more visitors that the compared last year.
