A message by Amazon Prime has gone viral, after it showed two old friends – a vicar and an Imam – getting together for a cup of tea and a chat, during which they both have a bit of a moan about their aching knees.

Which ultimately leads to them exchanging identical gifts as they both come up with the exact same idea to make each other’s work easier – with a little help from Amazon Prime.

The ad was made in consultation with Church of England, the Muslim Council of Great Britain and the Christian Muslim Forum and features an actual priest and Imam – Little Venice vicar Rev Gary Bradley, and Zubeir Hassam, who is head of a Muslim school in Leicestershire.

‘We wanted to get the story right because we were aware it might seem a sensitive subject to some people,’ said Amazon’s advertising director Simon Morris.

‘We have gone to great lengths, it has taken us months to develop it.’

He added that the message of the advert was ‘selflessness and thinking of other people’, saying: ‘We wanted it to do well and be respectful to the religions that are featured in it.’
