Kosovar people rushed to give their books for free to share them with those who cannot afford to buy books.
In an admirable attempt, the youth branch of the Kosovo Democratic Turkic Party organized the book donation campaign in Kosovo's Prizren, which they called "Books are alive as long as they are read".
The books collected during the campaign will be sent to the various libraries in the country including the Prizren People Library. So far hundreds of books have been collected in the booth opened in Shadirvan Square.
The head of youth branch of Kosovo Democratic Turkic Party, Fatih Erguler, said their aim is to contribute to Prizren University's Library and Prizren People Library so it can have a larger collection of books.
The volunteers joining the campaign are very happy to play a role in binding relations between books and their new readers. The party's local head of the Prizren branch, Levent Bus, stated "Our goal is to collect more books and introduce them with book worms. The name of this event is "Books are alive as long as they are read." This is a very encouraging motto.''
''The books will be dead when they are not in the hands of their readers. We congratulate our youth branch's efforts," he added.
