ITO’s Deputy President Dursun Topçu underlined that it is their responsibility to preserve and revive Ahi order since the trade chambers are the followers of Ahi communities. “In this year, we decided to organize a different event in a way to transform Ahi week to a fest. ITO attaches great values to traditional craftsmen. I hope our activities to promote Ahi order will continue.”

ITO has organized Ahi week for 27 years.

An ‘Ahi Bazaar’ was opened during the week in one of Istanbul’s historical provinces, Eminönü, just next to ITO headquarters. All the incomes gained during the week was used for ‘The Ahi Foundation’ and provide scholarship to university students.
