Students from 19 countries to learn Turkish in Trabzon

In the framework of the "Turkish Summer School 2013" organized by the Yunus Emre Institute, 24 students 19 countries including Egypt, Russia, Iran, Morocco and Germany will learn Turkish in the Black Sea province of Trabzon.

The Coordinator of the Turkish Summer School 2013 Ozgur Kus told Anadolu Agency, "The students of the summer school will be educated in 10 different cities during the 8-week-program. The summer school started on July 1 and will end on August 25. 400 students from 57 different countries are participating. The students will get 4 hours of Turkish lessons at TOMER, a language learning center, connected to the Ankara University every day."

Kus said that the communicative language of the program would be Turkish and added, "We have planned different activities for the students to introduce the Turkish culture, history and tourism. The summer school is not only about language education, it will be also an important presentation of the Turkish culture."

24 students from Russia, Romania, Iran, China, Latvia, Macedonia, Poland, Albania, Algeria, Hungary, Japan, Egypt, Morocco, Georgia, Yemen, Croatia, Belarus, Germany and South Korea will be educated and will also get a scholarship about 500 Turkish Lira, Kus noted.

The German student Magnus Anschutz who attended the summer school underlined, "There are a lot of Turks in Germany and I want to speak with them. That is why I participate in the summer school. Trabzon is beautiful and the people here are very happy and hospitable."

"I'm happy to be here and I have a lot of Turkish friends. I love them and because of this I want to speak with them and take part in the summer school," Woohee Park from South Korea pointed out.
