The Edirne Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum is now giving history buffs the opportunity to take virtual tours of the museum online, the Cihan news agency reported on Tuesday.
An institute that attracts thousands of visitors each year is now offering a feature that allows those who cannot make it to the museum in person with the opportunity to feast their eyes upon and learn more about the thousands of valuable artifacts and relics that the museum boasts.
Visitors to the museum website www.edirnemuzesi.gov.tr can open a virtual tour window through which they can tour the museum and see its collections just like those who go to the museum in person.
Having opened in 1971, the museum boasts ancient ceramics from the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods, valuable coins, Anatolian carpets and kilims, traditional costumes and many more ethnographical artifacts.
