The American-Turkish Association of Washington D.C. (ATA-DC) will host the first "Turkish Culture Heritage Month" in the United States in September as part of celebrations to mark the tenth year of the Washington Turkish Festival.
Turkish arts, kitchen, and traditions will be promoted in Washington and surrounding states for a month in September as part of the "Turkish Culture Heritage Month".
In a statement released, the Mayor of Washington, Vincent Gray declared September as the "Turkish Culture Heritage Month" and urged all the residents of the city to join in the activities throughout the month.
The "Turkish Culture Heritage Month" will begin with a reception at the U.S. Congress.
