A train carrying army troops has fallen off a collapsed bridge in Pakistan, killing 13 people.
Another 85 people were injured in the crash on Thursday, with local Dawn TV showing images of injured soldiers after the front four coaches of the train fell into a canal. Another six people are missing.
The army has not confirmed whether the dead were soldiers but army spokesman Major General Asim Salim Bajwa tweeted confirmation that the train was carrying soldiers to the garrison town of Kharian, 60 miles from the capital Islamabad.
Bajwa said army helicopters and divers had been deployed for the rescue operation.
Railway minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq told reporters that the incident could have been the result of a militant attack, as the bridge had previously been in good condition.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered an inquiry into the incident.Last Mod: 02 Temmuz 2015, 14:56
