A car bomb has killed at least four people and wounded 68 in southern Afghanistan on Monday.
Afghan authorities said a suicide bomber detonated the explosives in front of the provincial headquarters in Zabul province.
According to council chief Ata Jan Haqbayan, two female and one male council members were wounded in the blast.
“Initial reports indicates at least four people were killed and 68 people including council members, women and school children were wounded after the blast shook the entire area,” Haqbayan said.
The attackers are thought to have has used a truck to target the council headquarters, which is surrounded by a school, civilian housing and government buildings.
