Janan Musazai's statemeant comes after Berlin's decision to temporarily close its embassy in Kabul over security fears.
In a press conference in Kabul on Sunday, Musazai tried to relieve anxiety and said that the government of Afghanistan has capability to maintain security in diplomatic centers. "So far, the reason of closure of the German Embassy in Kabul has not been specified" Musazai added.
According to Mr. Musazai, Kabul is trying to clear all reasons behind the closure of German embassy in Kabul. "Deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan has invited German Ambassador in Afghanistan to the ministry to discuss the reasons of their decision and solve all problems" he said.
Meanwhile, on Sunday morning, the German Ambassador to Afghanistan was summoned by the interior ministry of Afghanistan for closing the embassy over security threats.
Both Interior Minister Omer Davudzai and German Ambassador Martin Jäger have discussed the unconfirmed threat information that led to the closure of some parts of the German Embassy in Kabul.
In a meeting Davudzai said that Afghan security forces were well trained to thwart any kind of terror attack. Also in a statement issued by the Interior Ministry media office said, “The government of Afghanistan calls the security threats against the German embassy baseless.”
German Ambassador praised Afghan security forces and expressed his complete beleif in the capability of police to avoid on potential terror threats.
The security threat assertion was reportedly issued by German secret service and warned the Foreign Ministry regarding the risk of a terror attack by radicals in Afghan capital.
