China's Foreign Affairs Minister Wang Yi and India's Foreign Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, whose countries have a border conflict, have met in Beijing on Friday.
Khurshid, who has come to Beijing upon an invitation by Wang to pay an official visit, compared notes including border disputes, regional and global issues with his Chinese counterpart.
Wang said "We are ready to begin the process of negotiations on the border issue with India. We have desire to find a fair and reasonable solution."
Wang, who pointed to create a calender of negotiations with India, called for "peace and tranquility" in the border area.
Indian Foreign Minister Khurshid stated that they would continue the development of their healthy and stable relations with China.
China claims over the area today known as Aranucal Pradesh while India argues the 38 thousand square kilometres area which is in Aksay plateau in the west of the Himalayas has been occupied by China.Last Mod: 10 Mayıs 2013, 16:35
