42 people died in India after a bus crashed and broke out into flames, the Associated Press news agency reports.
The accident took place Wednesday morning when a bus carrying nearly fifty passengers crashed into a highway barrier while trying to overtake another vehicle, local police told the AP.
The driver and six others managed to escape through a window, while many were burned alive as they are thought to have been asleep at the time of the accident.
