Roadside bomb wounds 10 in Afghanistan

At least 10 people have been wounded after a bomb exploded in the Seyah Gerd district of Parwan province, according to Afghan authorities.

The bomb - which was placed in a hand cart - exploded on Saturday when a police van was passing the area about 50 kilometers north of the capital, Kabul, said district governor Sayeed Sediqi.

He said: "Four policemen and six civilians sustained injuries following the explosion which occurred at 10:00am (local time)."

"People with minor injuries were shifted to a district clinic and those with serious conditions were evacuated to a provincial hospital."

He said two of the wounded people were in grave condition and an investigation was under way to find those responsible for the attack.
