Rula Ghani, spouse of new president Afghan Ashraf Ghani, has criticised Islamic clothing norms welcomed by Afghan society such as niqab and burqa. 

In an interwiev with Agence France Presse, Rula Ghani confirmed her engagement in puplic life norms and emphasized that she approves the French motion puts a ban on facial covering such as burqa and niqab.

According to the French daily Le Monde, "Concidering the French policies towards niqab and burqa..., I quite agree with the French government" said Ghani, who comes from Libanese-American origin.

She had been taking part of his husband's campaigne and she met with its Pachtoun partisans and made some influential speech as much as her housband did. Rula Ghani, spouse of Afghanistan's new president Ashraf Ghani, have already critised some Islamic norms welcomed by Afghan society.

According to the French motion passed 2010 in French Parliament clamps the lid on facial coverings, "no-one allowed to have something on, in public places, intended to conceal the face".

In 2004 a motion passed by French Parliament, which put a ban on wearing the hijab in educational institutions.
