Over 40,000 people are still not able to return back to their houses as a result of a flood, which affected almost a quarter of the country's territory, said Bosnian minister council in a report released Wednesday,

They are still being accommodated in Bosnian army barracks. The report added that 18,600 houses had been affected by the floods last week.

Dozens of countries and national and international non-governmental organizations have sent humanitarian aid to those affected by the flood, according to the report.

The Turkish Red Crescent Society officials distributed 35 tons of food along with cleaning and building materials.

The European Union also announced Wednesday a 65 billion euro aid package for Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia.
