The Democratic Action Party of Sandzak will participate alone in Serbia's forthcoming general elections, Party Chair Suleyman Uglyanin told Anadolu Agency on Tuesday.
Uglyanin also dismissed the possibility of forming a coalition with former Serbian President Boris Tadic.
Calling the condition of Bosniaks in Serbia "not very good," he added that his party aims to unify all Bosniak factions under a single banner.
"My party is struggling to better the conditions of all citizens in Sandzak," Uglyanin said.
Criticizing other Bosniak parties in the country for forming alliances with Serbian parties, he said this situation does not help protect Bosniaks' rights and interests.
Uglyanin said his party is planning on establishing a Bosniak parliamentary group after the elections.
Located on the disputed border with Kosovo, Sandzak is Serbia's only region with a Muslim majority.
Parliamentary elections in Serbia will be held on March 16.Last Mod: 12 Şubat 2014, 11:18
