World Bulletin / News Desk

The International Criminal Tribunal has upheld charges against the Bosnian Serb military chief Ratko Mladic, who faces war crimes charges for the slaughtering of around 8,000 Muslim civilians in the 1995 Srebrenitsa massacre.

Mladic's lawyers have insisted that there isn't enough evidence to link him to most of the charges and had asked for them to be dropped.

He all together faces 11 charges dating back to the 1992-95 Bosnian war, including genocide and crimes against humanity.

Mladic has denied all charges put against him.
