Member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina said in his interview with AA that two-day visit of Croatian President Ivo Josipovic to Serbia is important for the normalization of the relations in the West Balkan region.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said that Josipovic and he decided "to start a new phase of the relations between Serbia and Croatia".

"Arrival of Croatian President in Belgrade, even if they did not do anything, even if they have just had a coffee, means that 90 percent of the work is done. The remaining will come after that. It is important that no one in the Balkans is blind anymore, that everyone came to realize that violence and conflicts are making more damage than benefit. At first, to their own nation. I think that this is a part of the 'maturation process' that will finally bring results to Serbia," Izetbegovic told AA while commenting on the meeting of the two presidents.

He pointed out that Serbia now has "mature nationalists who know how to protect the interests of their own country."

"They have tried to do something by force 20 years ago when they thought that they are stronger than others. They did everything they could, but without success. They mostly lost the aggressive wars in the past. Today all Balkan leaders make efforts to move to the same direction, normalization of the relations, regional cooperation, European Union and better relations," said Izetbegovic stressing that regional cooperation is "in everyone's interest".

"We can do our best to have good relationships and good friendly and neighborly relations," concluded Izetbegovic in his interview with AA.
