The 4th Sarajevo Business Forum with topic of "models of growth and lessons for Southeast Europe" began in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, on Friday.
Bakir Izzetbegovic, the Bosniak member of Bosnia and Herzegovina Tripartite Presidency Council, on Friday said, "Bosnian government has to be determined in its fight against corruption."
Delivering a speech at the 4th Sarajevo Business Forum, Izzetbegovic stated that he recently gathered with political leaders of Serbia, Croatia and Turkey and big steps were taken in terms of peace.
Good days for the region were ahead with the contribution of "key leaders" focused on peace and development, Izzetbegovic stated.
"Bosnian government has to be determined in its fight against corruption. Barriers holding investments back should be abolished as soon as possible," he noted.
Izzetbegovic also thanked Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the support he has given to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Amer Bukvic, CEO of Bosnia Bank International and the organizer of the forum, spoke at the opening of the forum and said, "the forum is one of the best opportunity to draw investors' attentions in Bosnia-Herzegovina."
Indicating that the experiences of Turkey, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates were very important for Bosnia Herzegovina, Bukvic stated, "we hope we benefit from these experiences and create new ideas."
Turkey's growth secrets will be discussed in the forum.
Ali Babacan, Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Financial Affairs, Danilo Turk, former President of Slovenia, Mahathir Mohamad, former Prime Minister of Malaysia, and Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs of the UAE, and many diplomats and businessmen participate in the forum.
Babacan will talk about the secrets of Turkey's fast economic growth.
