Ethnic Serbs in Kosovo have reportedly decided to cut their ties with the European Union's Rule of Law Mission (EULEX) after a Kosovan Serb was arrest in connection with the killing of an ethnic Albanian police officer earlier this month.

According to Radio Free Europe's Balkan Service, Serb leaders in the municipalities of Leposavic, Zubin Potok, Zvecan and North Mitrovica made the decision on Wednesday.

Citing that the arrest had caused tensions between ethnic Serbs and EULEX, the president of the local assembly of the town of Zubin Potok, Nemanja Jaksic said that co-operation will cease until the issue is addressed.
