Kosovo police fired teargas to disperse hundreds of Kosovo Albanians who rallied in downtown capital Pristina on Thursday to protest the visit of a Serbian government negotiator.
Police intervened after protesters, mainly supporters of the opposition Vetvendosje or the Self-Determination party, pelted government building with stones and bottles with red paint and damaged police and government cars, a Reuters witness said.
Borko Stefanovic, Belgrade's top negotiator, travelled to Pristina to discuss further European Union-mediated talks about improving practical relations between Serbia and Kosovo.
