Serbia's President Timoslav Nikolic will ask the current deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vucic to form Serbia's new government Tuesday.
Serbian Progressive Party leader Aleksandar Vucic together with his coalition parties won nearly 48 per cent of the votes in March 16th’s general elections.
“The Future We Believe” coalition won 158 seats of 250 in Serbia's parliament, allowing it to form the government alone.
Vucic offered last week for current Prime Minister Ivica Dacic's Socialist Party of Serbia, who along with their partners have 44 seats, to join them in government "in accordance with their strength".
Vucic, former Minister of Information during the Kosovo War (1998-1999), left the Serbian Radical Party in 2008 and joined the newly formed pro-EU Serbian Progressive Party.Last Mod: 22 Nisan 2014, 14:54
