Serbian PM Ivica Dacic on Saturday arrived in monastery in Kosovo town Gracanica, welcomed by bishop Teodosije and hundreds of locals from central Kosovo.
Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said on Saturday that he strived for peace and he wanted to show his support for Serbians in Kosovo.
"I came to Kosovo because I strive for peace and I want to show that Serbia supports its people in Kosovo", said Dacic during his Kosovo visit.
He added that Serbia would not take place in pre-election campaign, but it was well known the side Belgrade supported.
Asked about whether he would vote in the upcoming local elections in Kosovo, he responded that he wouldn't because he wasn't a citizen of Kosovo, but he would do so in the parliamentary elections.
Serbian Prime Minister Dacic was allowed to visit Kosovo for religious purposes. Kosovar government granted permission for him to visit the monastery in Gracanica where he was welcomed by thousands.
In front of the monastery he was welcomed with applause and chanting "Serbia, Serbia".
There were security forces deployed in Gracanica and around the monastery, besides the members of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) and Kosovo police.
Within 500 meters distance from monastery, in the center of Gracanica, a stage was set up where Citizen's Initiative of Srpska will hold a meeting.
