Three police officers have been injured in an attack on a Kosovo border police force, police officials have said.
Kosovo Police Spokesman Baki Kelani said that unidentified people opened fire at a police border patrol in the village of Banya in North Mitrovica.
He said the injured police were immediately taken to hospital and their injuries were non-life threatening.
Kosovo's President Atifete Jahjaga condemned the attack, saying the aim was to cause disorder in the country and undermine the rule of law.
She stressed the perpetrators would be found as soon as possible and put on trial.
North Mitrovica is a part of North Kosovo and its de-facto capital, where Serbs constitute the ethnic majority.
North Kosovska Mitrovica officially became a separate municipality after the 2013 November elections in Kosovo.Last Mod: 01 Nisan 2014, 13:03
