Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Emrullah Isler on Thursday attended the opening ceremony of the Izetbegovic memorial house in the Bosnian town of Bosanski Samac, to honor the late Bosnian president and independence struggle leader Alija Izetbegovic.

The house was financed by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). The opening of the memorial was attended by members of TIKA, Turkish parliamentarians, Bosnian politicians, and numerous guests.

Isler arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday to attend the opening ceremonies of three TIKA projects, including the Izetbegovic house, the Visoko clinic near Sarajevo, and the Karagoz-bey school in Mostar.

The clinic in Visoko town near the Bosnian capital Sarajevo will serve around 15,000 people.

On Friday, Isler will travel to Mostar in Herzegovina to open the renovated Karagoz Bey School.
