Turkey has called on its citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina to stay away from the protests which have on occasions turned violent in the last three days.
Social media updates from the Turkish embassy in Sarajevo say that Turkey is following the developments closely.
The Embassy warns that Turkish citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina and those planning to visit the country should take every precautionary measure beforehand, and stay clear of the protests.
A series of protests began in Tuzla earlier this week by disgruntled public workers, who claim they have been deprived of their social rights and benefits.
The protests, which spread to other cities, including the capital Sarajevo, and Bihac, Zenica, and Mostar, have been dubbed as the "Bosnian Spring" by Bosnian media reports.
