Germany’s Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs and the current OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Frank-Walter Steinmeier will visit Uzbekistan on March 30.
The minister will meet with Uzbekistan’s President Islam Karimov and hold talks in the country’s government during his visit, Uzbek Foreign Ministry’s press service said March 29.
The parties will discuss the state and development perspectives of the Uzbek-German bilateral cooperation, relevant regional and international problems within the framework of negotiations.
Germany is one of Uzbekistan’s main partners in the European Union.
Some 123 enterprises established with participation of leading companies, capital and advanced technology from Germany operate in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan implemented investment projects worth over one billion euros jointly with the leading German companies.
