President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Dervis Eroglu met European Union enlargement chief, Stefan Fule on Monday.
The meeting in the TRNC presidential palace lasted an hour and half and no press conference was held at the end.
The meeting comes at a time when the Greek and Turkish communities in Cyprus have stepped up the efforts to unify the long-divided island.
Cyprus has remained divided into Greek and Turkish parts since a Greek Cypriot coup was followed by a Turkish peace mission to aid Turkish Cypriots in the north in 1974.
The Greek Cypriot administration is a member of the European Union and is internationally recognized, except by Turkey, which is the only country that recognizes the TRNC.Last Mod: 08 Nisan 2014, 09:10
