An attack on the Turkish Embassy in Mogadishu injured three construction workers on Wednesday night, the Turkish ambassador Kani Torun to Mogadishu said.

Torun said he does not suspect any organization to be linked to the attack.

Muhammed Yakup Sarac (25), Recep Keskin (51) and Necdet Adsiz (52) were transferred via ambulance to Ataturk Training and Research Hospital.

The father of Sarac, who made a statement to the press in front of the hospital, thanked Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan for transferring his son from Somalia via air ambulance to Ankara.

Rocket launchers were fired at the embassy, which is currently under construction. The Turkish ambassador to Somalia, Kani Torun said no organization has been linked with the attack.

Another building in front of the Turkish Embassy in Mogadishu was attacked in July last year. The attack killed one Turkish police officer and injured three people.
