Austrian President Heinz Fischer will watch excavation activities conducted by Austrian archeologists at Turkey's Efes ruins during a two day private visit to Turkey.

President Fischer will meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul while in Turkey and he will also visit historic sites in Didim and Truva.

President Fischer will be accompanied by Austrian Minister for Science and Research Karlheinz Toechterle in Turkey.
