Belarus Foreign Minister Vladimir Makey has arrived on an official visit to Turkey to sign a protocol on the principles of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek received Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Mekey for the 8th term meeting on intergovernmental commission between Turkey and Belarus, according to a written statement released by Turkish Foreign Ministry.
Reminding that Turkey was the first country to recognize Belarus' independence, Cicek said, "Turkey-Belarus relations are constructive and friendly."
Cicek, stating that he would visit Belarus in December, said Turkey and Belarus would sign a protocol on the principles of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
Bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments will be on the agenda of the talks scheduled to be held with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu.
On the second day of his visit, Vladimir Makey is also planned to attend a business council between Turkey and Belarus to be held in Istanbul.
