Davutoglu said in a statement he made to the Italian weekly news magazine L'Espresso that he did not approve Western countries considering sanctions against Iran on the grounds of nuclear armament, state-run media said.
Noting that sanctions have always had a negative impact in the past, Davutoglu said that what is needed is political stability and economic development, TRT said.
Davutoglu underlined that Turkey is against the proliferation of the nuclear arms with destructive capabilities in the Middle East.
Regarding the Turkey-Israel relations, Davutoglu said, “Israel did make a huge mistake by attacking the Gaza Strip. We do not think it is right that Netanyahu government keeps letting the construction of new settlements in East Jerusalem.
