The number of casualties rose to eight in a fire in an apartment building in the German city of Backnang on Sunday.
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag on Sunday said that they expected Germany to fully investigate the fire incident in Backnang city of Germany.
Bozdag wrote on his Twitter account that he was deeply sad over the fire incident in Backnang.
We expect Germany to investigate the fire without leaving any doubts behind and make an explanation to the public opinion, Bozdag also said.
Mayor of Backnang, Frank Nopper on Sunday said that the number of killed individuals rose to eight.
"All of those killed were Turks," Nopper stated.
A Turkish mother and her seven children carried the last name "Soykan".
Authorities said that there were 13 people living in the apartment and that the actual number of people living there could be more.
Earlier in the day, German officials had said that three individuals were injured in the fire, one of them in serious condition.Last Mod: 10 Mart 2013, 14:49
