Turkey's Forestry and Water Works Ministry, following Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's instructions erected a friendship forest in Niger.

In a statement released on Thursday, Turkey's Forestry and Water Works Ministry stated that Deputy Undersecretary of Turkey's Forestry and Water Works Ministry Mustafa Eldemir, Niger's President Mahamadou Issoufou, Prime Minister Brigi Rafini and several other officials attended the inauguration ceremony on August 3.

Turkey planted 6,000 saplings on 10 hectare field within the scope of the project, the statement said.
