The German Attorney General has filed charges against Turkish citizen Abdullah S., 46 -- who was once the head of financial affairs for the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) -- for being a member of a organization.
A statement made by the German Attorney General's Office on Tuesday said charges were filed with the Higher Regional Court of Dusseldorf against Abdullah S. on Jan. 23 for being a member of a organization. The statement added that from June 2003 to June 2004 Abdullah S. had been raising money for the PKK by collecting donations and membership fees and selling PKK propaganda tools such as books.
From 2005 to 2007, Abdullah S. reportedly stayed with senior members of the PKK in northern Iraq and later he was assigned as the PKK's top finance official in Europe. In May 2010 he was removed from his position in the organization and he was arrested by German police on April 27, 2012.Last Mod: 12 Şubat 2013, 17:29
