Greek politician and European parliamentarian Eva Kaili has said that she believes Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is on course to iron out problems between Turkey and Greece, adding that the future looks bright for the relationship between the two countries.
PASOK member Eva Kaili, who traces her roots back to Turkey's biggest city Istanbul, “We are now living in Erdogan's era. I believe he will solve the problems of our generation.”
Turkey's Daily Hurriyet quoted Kaili saying that the Treaty of Lausanne, while solving some problems between Turkey and Greece, also created some other problems.
However, she added that in what she called the era of Prime Minister Erdogan, the two people have never been as close since 1922.
