Iran's Vice President Lotfollah Forouzandeh Dehkordi on Thursday visited Volkan Bozkir, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Turkish parliament.
Bozkir stated that Turkey and Iran had a friendship based on their mutual historical and cultural heritage, in Ankara.
"Iran is not only our neighbor but also our friend. The borders between Turkey and Iran were determined with the Treaty of Qasr-e Shirin in 1639 and remains the same since then," Bozkir said.
Bozkir also stated that 21 billion and 887 dollars of trade took place between Turkey and Iran and both parties agreed to increase trade to 30 billion dollars in five years.
Dehkordi also touched on the good relations between two states and said that their friendly relations positively influenced their cooperation in various fields.
