Turkish State Minister for Foreign Trade Zafer Caglayan will pay a three-day official visit to Brussels on Monday.

During the three-day visit Caglayan will meet with EU Commissioner for Trade Karel, lawmakers from the European parliament and representatives of the Turkish civil organizations based in Brussels.

Following topics will be discussed during Caglayan's meeting with De Gucht:

Boosting the effectiveness of the consultative and decision taking mechanisms within the scope of the Customs Union, getting support from the EU in Turkey's undertaking of EU's Free Trade Agreements within the framework of the EU accession process, the strict visa regimes implemented against Turkish nationals impeding commercial activities of Turkish businessmen, the quotas implemented against Turkish lorries in the EU borders, and easing of the EU Rules of Origin.

During the visit, Caglayan is expected to meet with Metin Kazak the rapporteur of EP report titled "Turkey and Trade Relations" which will be voted on September 2010.
