More Turkish volunteers departed on Thursday from Ankara for Somalia to extend the scope of Turkey's relief efforts in the drought-stricken country.
The team of 23 doctors and paramedics will be working at a field hospital opened by Turkey on August 18 in Mogadishu and at another care center at a tent camp which was set up by the Turkish Red Crescent.
The team includes seven specialists in the fields of internal medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics and in infectious diseases as well as two general practitioners and thirteen paramedics.
The team will increase the number of Turkish medical staff in Mogadishu to thirty.
