35 people were injured in the clash which occurred at a Turkish refugee camp for Syrians between Syrians and security forces.

A clash occurred between security officials and a group of Syrians who escaped from Syria and wished to settle in a refugee camp, or “Container City,” established in the Turkish city of Harran in the Sanliurfa province.

35 people were injured, 3 severely, in the incident which included military and security officials.

Allegedly, Syrians who had fled from the civil war wanted to enter the not yet completed camp in Harran in Sanliurfa.

When security officers did not provide a positive response to the the request of the Syrians, who were determined as not having records, a verbal argument began between the group and security officers.

When the argument turned into a fight with stones and sticks, security forces intervened.

In the fight which police and soldiers had difficulty controlling, 1 fireman, 6 soldiers, 13 security guards and 15 Syrians were wounded.

The wounded were taken to hospitals in Sanliurfa, Akcakale and Harran.

It has been learned that 3 of the security officials were severely injured.
