Turkey, Djibouti sign education agreement

The Turkish Education Minister said they signed an agreement of education to boost relations with Djibouti.

Turkish Minister of National Education Nabi Avci said Turkey was ready to boost relations with Djibouti.

Avci signed an agreement with Djibouti's Minister of Education and Professional Training Djama Elim Okieh at the National Education Ministry on Monday.

Avci said the relations between Turkey and Djibouti developed and added that Djibouti had ample opportunities and great potential to make investments in Turkey.

Minister Avci reminded that Turkey had signed an agreement with Djibouti about education on January 16, 2009, and noted that they came together because of changed conditions.

Avci said that a total of 37 scholarships including 34 bachelor's level, 2 post graduations and 1 doctoral student were allocated in the academic year of 2012-2013.
