Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek on Monday underscored the importance of Iran's close relation with international community.
Cicek underscored the importance of Iran's close relation and dialogue with international community and said, "we wish that Iran could cooperate with international community more closely" and have a better atmosphere for dialogue, "it is really crucial."
"There is chaos in Syria and Iraq," Cicek told the press before departing for Turkey from Tehran on Monday.
"Those images do not fit with Islam," said Cicek referring to the latest development in the region and added, "Islam has gradually identified with terrorism."
Cicek added, politicians should follow the peaceful policies towards the will of people.
Turkish Parliament Speaker met on Monday, the third day of his visit to Iran, with Iranian religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Cicek had met with Iranian President Hasan Rouhani and Chairman of Iran's Expediency Council Hashemi Rafsanjani on his second day in Iran.
The regional issues including Syria crisis were discussed in both separate meetings which were held close to press.
In his first day in Iran, after meeting with his Iranian counterpart, the chairman of Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani on Saturday said, Turkey and Iran had common grounds on many issues.
Larijani had also said, fight against terrorism was among the priorities of both states.
Cemil Cicek returned to Turkey on Monday.
