The citizens of 45 countries will be able to stay in the Chinese capital of Beijing for 72 hours without a need for visas.

Transit passengers of the 45 countries with visas from a third country would be able to benefit from the new visa-free procedure at the Beijing International Airport, the Beijing local administration said on Thursday in a statement released.

Beijing has left Turkey out of the list of countries whose citizens do not need a visa up to 72 hours.

Countries to benefit from the new procedure in Beijing are as follows:

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Greek Cypriot administration, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar.
