Turkey says draws road map for assistance to Yemen

World Bulletin / News Desk

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said on Wednesday that Turkey drew a road map for assistance to Yemen for its development.

Assessing the meeting of the Friends of Yemen in Riyadh, Arinc said that Yemen has been dealing with some problems in areas including security, trade and economy.

Yemen should be supported in its new democratic process, he said.

Arinc said he had talks with Yemen's Prime Minister Mohammed Basindwa before and after the meeting, quoting Basindwa as saying that Yemen aimed to be a country like Turkey.

Arinc said Turkey planned to support and restore some historical and cultural assets in Yemen.

Turkish International Cooperation Agency (TIKA) was planning to open an office in Sanaa, he added.
