Turkey has sent humanitarian aid to Pakistan.

The Prime Ministry Directorate General for Disaster and Emergency Management told a statement Monday, "some 1.3 million Pakistanis were displaced because of ongoing operations in the regions of Swat and South Waziristan. Most of them have taken shelter in houses of their relatives in different regions while nearly 150 thousand others have been living in several camps in northwestern part of Pakistan."

"The aid including 11 tons of foodstuffs was sent to Pakistan to be delivered to those people in camps by a military cargo plane," the statement added.
